Ms. Shah, Director ICECD has been on the forefront of development and empowerment of women over the last 2 decades and has created over half a million women entrepreneurs all over India. In the state of Gujarat alone, in the past 3 years, she has empowered over 11,000 widows and made them into mainstream partners in the Indian economy!

We are so pleased to share with you that as recognition of her unique endeavors and achievements, the Government of India has honored Ms. Shah with the coveted “Stree Shakti Puraskar” in the name of Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Award on the 8th of March 2010. The award was presented to her by the Hon’ble President of India at Vigyan Bhawan., New Delhi at the most befitting award ceremony.
