ICECD at work
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Developement
& Economic Empowerment

Medium Enterprises
Specialized training programmes are designed and implemented by ICECD for potential entrepreneurs to initiate, manage and diversifying their medium level enterprises. With an   investment of Rs.5 million and above, these entrepreneurs are in varied sectors of business like automobile, pharmaceuticals, garment exports, etc.  Entrepreneurs are also trained to increase the productivity and efficiency of their existing businesses.

Small Enterprises
With decades of experience and expertise in Entrepreneurship Development, ICECD offers special training for “Small Scale Entrepreneurs.” The focus is on selecting the business, based on market demand. With a minimum investment of Rs. 5,00,000, each of these entrepreneurs further employs at least four people. While they are from urban as well as rural areas, their products range from chemical making to water softeners, phones, plastics, stationery, spices, etc.

Micro Enterprises
A large segment of population of India and other developing countries is illiterate and unemployed. Lack of education renders them incapable to take up jobs. ICECD trains them to create their micro enterprises with an investment of Rs.3000 and more. These people, including tribals, are trained at their doorstep – wherein they are taught to conduct a market survey and select products as per their demand. These products and services are on lower side technologywise, but certainly have a demand, such as – Snacks, Cutlery, Confectionery, Plastic Toys, Fruits & Vegetables, Hosiery, Cold Drinks, Artificial Jewellery, Bead Work, Cow Rearing, Animal Feed, Embroidery, Tiffin Service, Flower Stall, Poultry, etc.
