| DISTANCE LEARNING |
With the growing interest in these programmes by professionals, students and working executives, the IIME Distance Learning Programme has been launched in the year 2011. The medium of the course is English, and the course is covered through two semesters.

| ELIGIBILITY |
Graduation from a recognized university or its equivalent with minimum of two years work experience in the field of rural development, non-government organizations or similar institutions. |

| ENROLMENT and FEES |
Students are enrolled every year in January and July batches. Only such persons who fulfill the eligibility criteria need apply for the courses. Application form needs to be duly filled and submitted along with a Demand draft for Rs. 150/- in favour of ICECD, Ahmedabad |

Attested copies of Degree / Diploma, work experience in fulfillment of eligibility criteria (attestation by gazetted officers are acceptable) |

For students in India: |

| i) |
Registration Fee of Rs. 1,000. |
| ii) |
Course Fee of Rs. 16,500/- (To be paid in one lumpsum or can be paid in two installments of Rs. 8,250/- each by cash or DD. in favour of ICECD Ahmedabad; payable at Ahmedabad). |
| iii) |
Examination fees are Rs. 200/- per paper (To be paid before the due date of examination). |

For students abroad: |

Registration Fee: US $ 50 |
| ii) |
Course Fee: US $ 400 |
| iii) |
Examination fees are US $ 10 per paper each |

Experience details, if any. |
|
The full course fee includes registration fees and supply of course material and stay (of 10 days) at ICECD for contact sessions (optional for students from abroad). Traveling costs will have to be borne by the students. |

Once the above mentioned details reach us, IIME shall mail/post the first set of modules of the study material along with sthe prospectus. The registration is valid for a period of two years (subject to remittance of full course fee) which is the maximum period allowed for completing the Diploma Programme including the project. |

Incomplete application not accompanied with the fees (course fee+registration fee) or the required documents duly attested is liable to be rejected forthwith. |
 |
In case application has to be rejected because the candidate does not posses the prescribed qualifications, the amount deposited towards the course fee only shall be refunded through a Demand Draft. |
 |
No refund of course fee shall be made once the application is accepted for admission and course material dispatched. |
 |
The second installment, in case course fee is being paid in two installments, must be paid within four months of admission. All remittances be made through either be cash or DD or post dated cheque in favour of ICECD, Ahmedabad, payable at Ahmedabad. In case of direct transfer to Bank, our account number will be provided on request. |

| SYLLABUS & Course Structure: |
Students within India will receive study material by post, while students abroad will receive the study material as PDF files. Course Counselor will be available (on phone, E-mail) to solve your queries.
The course structure has the following components:
The courses are divided in two semesters, and each semester consists of 6 / 7 modules. |

| ASSIGNMENTS |
| i) |
Assignments are given along with each module which have to be completed and sent before the end of each semester. An assignment for each paper carries 20 % weightage. |
| ii) |
Master Project has to be taken up after clearing the theory papers of first semester. |

| EXAMINATIONS |
| a) |
Examinations are held twice a year for four days at the end of respective semester. The 1st Semester comprises Part I Papers and the 2nd Semester comprises Part II Papers.
The examination application form duly accompanied by the necessary examination fees (at the rate of Rs. 200/- per paper for Indians and US $ 10 for students from other countries.) should reach the office latest by 31th May for June Examinations and by the 30th November for December Examinations. Examination fee is strictly non-refundable / non-transferable and cannot be carried forward.
A candidate who skips his / her first semester examinations can write Semester I, II papers together in one or more than one sitting in the next / subsequent examinations, if otherwise eligible.

Examinations will be conducted at our campus in Ahmedabad for National students and online for students abroad. |
| c) |
Eligibility to appear in the examinations shall be subjected to:
– Satisfactory and timely completion of Assignment for each module with minimum 50 % marks. – Payment of the Examination Fees.
– Clearance of all other outstanding dues such as second installment of Course Fees etc. |
| d) |
Passing Standard: The qualifying standard is minimum 50 % of marks in each paper: Theory paper, Assignments both put together. |

The Master project commences after successful completion of Part-I papers. However, the report will be accepted on clearing of all the written papers and completion of 12 months prescribed period. |

| EVALUATION |
Based on assessment of assignments, project report and performance in final examination of both the semesters, the Diploma will be awarded. Those who fail to qualify can reappear within two years by paying an additional fee. A maximum of two appearances are allowed. |
