Corporate Social Responsibility has come to be accepted as an emerging discipline globally. Many business organizations have also accepted their social responsibility voluntarily. Some others have adopted to keep up a corporate image while others to get a competitive edge among others. For an individual as for an organization, CSR gives an opportunity to deliver as a responsibility enlightened citizen.
In modern context, the role of corporate sectors in social development has been emphasized in the perspective of human rights, humanity and sustainable social development. In current scenario section 134 & 135 of the CSR under the company act, 2013, is revolutionary development. Increasingly, companies are becoming interested in processes that can add visibility to their CSR policies and activities. Indian corporate houses are joining hands to fine-tune all its activities falling under the preview of CSR and contribute a lot in sustainable responsible business (SRB).
It is expected that there is a need for best practices under CSR to operationalize, and the proposed programme aims to fulfill that need. Through this programme, participants will enable to formulate CSR strategy, policy, designing of projects and time to time monitoring of project’s progress.
