I was running a small business, but the course 'Enterprise Management & Entrepreneurship' provided me professional management skills and understanding market, finance management. I strongly feel that all business people should go this course to grow. Today, I look at my business in a completely different light...

Having a garment manufacturing business of my family and being the only daughter, I wanted to actively contribute to the business on my own. I did not want to run the business just because it was my family business. ICECD course helped me to identify market based opportunities, identify my market. Today i have not only taken charge of the existing manufacturing department, but have also ventured in  fashion design industry with success.

My career dream came true from ICECD's course. It has helped me to understand concept  and practical aspects at country and global level. My thinking has changed, my confidence is enhanced.I am no more a simple graduate. I realized tremendous opportunities our Country offers in Rural area for Manager. It is not a boring but very challenging and satisfying work. I got job placement immediately in a NGO and have progressed well just in one year.

I was very shy right through my childhood and right upto my graduation. Then I joined ICECD One year Diploma in Rural Management course. From day one the faculty helped and worked on my shyness. They built up  my confidence to a great extent. My presentation skills are superb now, and  I am able to assert myself in my work which helps me to volunteer for situations which I would never have done before.

I am from a small village in Orissa, though I did my graduation from a big city. Even though I knew the condition of my community, I never gave it much thought. I took it for granted that we were always to remain like this. I read about ICECD Diploma in Rural Development Management. I found something in the course description which appealed to me. I decided to do this course. I realized during the course about the immense opportunities available in the various aspects of development of community. I learnt this and also how I could be the medium to bring about this development and change. I thank the ICECD Diploma Programme for showing me the way.

When my friend described to me about a Diploma Programme in Rural Development, it stimulated my latent desire to be of use to the community. However, the course was in Ahmedabad, and I was worried about where I would live/eat/manage myself if I took this course. But ICECD was an absolute delight in terms of my educaiton as well as the environment it gave me. I earnestly  thank ICECD  for opening doors of new opportunities for me.

 I understand now the application and use of various management subjects like Marketing, Research, Financial Management, Organisational behaviour, entrepreneurship management, human resource management etc. which are so necessary in the development programmes for the community. I thank ICECD  for making me capable.

I have been able to learn the approaches on how both existing and potential entrepreneurs in my country can  be encouraged through timely dispense of useable information and trainings to stimulate ideas, discover opportunities, locate/expand markets and build capacity towards establishing  viable and sustainable enterprises. Equally, my capacity has largely been developed in the initiation, design and implementation of need-based training programs for both potential and existing MSMEs.
