THE PIONEER…
Our first task was to develop women for economic activities and thus start the process of empowerment and influence the national policy for their development. At one time, ICECD was the only organization in India, catering to the multifaceted needs of developing women, enabling them to set up small and micro enterprises. Over the years, centre has gradually built up its capabilities and expanded its activities to the international level, as a resource organization.
Constant efforts are directed towards information, dissemination through seminars/workshops/conferences, technology transfer, publications, policy planning, and research on various related aspects as also training of trainers and facilitators, consultancy and extension services like institutional capacity building of development agencies.
